Generation Pixar: Celebrate Animated Classics at VIFF

Vancouver, BC - March 4th, 2025 - VANCOUVER, BC (March 3, 2025) – This Spring Break, VIFF invites families and film lovers to take a nostalgic journey through the early years of Pixar Animation Studios with Generation Pixar, a special series celebrating 11 groundbreaking films that redefined animation between 1995 and 2010.

Marking 30 years since the release of Toy Story—the first fully computer-generated animated feature—Generation Pixar showcases Pixar’s golden era, a time when the studio set new standards for storytelling, wit, and emotional depth. Running from March 17–30 at the VIFF Cinema, the event offers an immersive experience with state-of-the-art 4K projection, Dolby Atmos sound that creates a three-dimensional audio experience and plush seating for the ultimate movie-watching experience.
