I'm launching a series on the intertwined narratives of my life and Kirk’s Probiotic Soda, I explore my journey from addiction to recovery.
The graffiti rabbit—that chaotic, messy image—perfectly reflects what’s been going on in my head for most of my life. Over the next few months, I’m releasing a series of weekly articles about the business of my life. As the founder of Kirk’s Probiotic Soda, the brand is inseparable from me—my past, my present, and everything that comes with it.
Here’s the thing: I’ve never hidden that I’m in recovery, but I’ve kept the addiction itself and everything leading up to it buried. Not everything was bad—there was a lot more good than bad, honestly—but I’ve stayed quiet about the darker parts. So why am I writing it now? Two reasons.
First, because I want anyone struggling with self-doubt, addiction, or anything else keeping them from chasing their dreams to find hope in my story and take their shot. And second, it’s better I tell the story because I will get it right and it my story to tell.
I grew up watching Bugs Bunny blow up Wile E Coyote.
Stay Tuned for this series as I share my journey from the streets to the C Suite!
