Corina Ludwig’s journey is a testament to her passion for leadership, operations, and growth. With a rich history of entrepreneurship and advisory roles, Corina brings a unique perspective to every venture she takes on. In this interview, she shares her entrepreneurial journey with FunctionFox, her experiences, and her vision for the future.

Corina’s entrepreneurial journey with FunctionFox is a powerful chapter in her story. Over two decades ago, she and her team identified a gap in the creative industry. There were no tools tailored to the unique needs of creative professionals, so they built their own. What started as a solution to manage clients, projects, and team members evolved into a global platform that transformed how creative agencies operate.

Building FunctionFox in the early 2000s—when even online banking was considered novel—was no small feat. Adapting to rapid technological changes while maintaining the platform’s simplicity and usability was a constant challenge. Yet, Corina and her team persevered by deeply engaging with their users, listening to feedback, and iterating on their product.

For Corina, the secret to FunctionFox’s success lay in its dedication to solving real problems. By focusing on the niche needs of creative professionals, the platform helped clients streamline operations, track billable hours, and gain control over their projects. The impact was profound—one client even credited FunctionFox with saving their business, a moment that reaffirmed the company’s mission to empower creatives.

After successfully selling and exiting FunctionFox, Corina’s passion for fostering growth remains undiminished as she embarks on her next venture. Today, she continues to support businesses that prioritize people-first cultures, offering her expertise in SaaS growth, organizational leadership, and operational excellence.

Corina’s passion for leadership blossomed through her work with organizations like WeBC, where she mentored emerging entrepreneurs and discovered the immense value of peer learning. This commitment to fostering collaborative growth is evident in her service on the IWIST and VIATEC boards and her continued leadership of the CEO Breakfast Roundtable—an initiative dedicated to peer learning for CEOs. Previously, as President of NextAcre, Corina focused on driving talent acquisition and supporting the company’s growth, further showcasing her dedication to fostering business success. Her recent role with MacKay CEO Forums further complements her dedication to empowering leaders, aligning with her long-standing belief in the power of shared knowledge and experience.

Through MacKay, Corina witnessed the transformative power of connections. At the Vancouver Summit, she was struck by the openness of leaders to share their experiences and insights. The sense of camaraderie and willingness to help one another affirmed her belief that true success is built on collaboration and authentic relationships. MacKay CEO Forums stood out to Corina because of its high-impact discussions, its focus on actionable insights, and its commitment to values-driven leadership.

What makes Corina’s story particularly inspiring is her unwavering belief in prioritizing people over profits. She emphasizes the importance of authentic leadership, where transparency and trust create alignment between teams and leaders. To her, companies thrive when their people feel valued, their clients are cared for, and their actions are guided by purpose.

Vision for the Future

Looking ahead, Corina is excited about the potential of AI and automation to revolutionize workflows and enhance user experiences. At the same time, she recognizes the importance of balancing technological advancements with human connection, a challenge she sees as both vital and inspiring.

Corina Ludwig’s journey is a testament to the power of staying true to one’s values. Whether leading a business, advising top executives, or mentoring others, her approach is rooted in authenticity, collaboration, and a deep respect for people. Her story reminds us that leadership isn’t just about achieving goals—it’s about inspiring others to align with a vision and creating a meaningful impact along the way.
