Vancouver, BC - January 30, 2025 - The Invictus Games 2025 is set to be a remarkable event, showcasing the resilience and determination of wounded, injured, and ill service personnel and veterans from around the world. This year, a total of 23 teams will participate, representing nations such as the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and Germany. The games will take place in the stunning settings of Vancouver and Whistler from February 8 to 16.
The competition will then see up to 550 athletes from 23 nations take part in 11 adaptive sports, including — for the first time — winter events such as skiing, snowboarding, biathlon and skeleton. The highly anticipated opening ceremony will be held at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, starting at 7:00 PM and running until 9:00 PM. This memorable event will feature inspiring performances and speeches that celebrate the courage and spirit of the athletes. This year's opening ceremonies will feature Katy Perry and Noah Kahan.
Competitions in Vancouver will include a variety of adaptive sports such as wheelchair rugby, sitting volleyball, rowing, and track and field events, providing an exciting platform for athletes to showcase their skills and determination.
