A star-studded benefit concert led by country icon Trisha Yearwood brought the Nashville community together this week—and raised over $700,000 for the fight against breast cancer. The inaugural “Band As One” Concert for the Cure, held Wednesday night at the Ryman Auditorium, featured performances by Yearwood and a lineup of friends, including Keith Urban, Lainey Wilson, Sheryl Crow, Amy Grant, Kristin Chenoweth, Terri Clark, Lauren Alaina and more.

The sold-out show was a fundraiser for Susan G. Komen, the nation’s leading breast cancer nonprofit, and served as a heartfelt tribute to survivors and those lost to the disease. “Nashville! We can do big things when we come together. Thank you for a wonderful night of education, celebration, and love!” Yearwood shared on social media after the event.

The Grammy-winning singer has a personal connection to the cause, having lost her mother to breast cancer in 2011. In addition to ticket sales, a charity auction and donations contributed to the impressive total raised. Attendees described an emotional evening of music and hope as artists shared stories and songs dedicated to loved ones. The success of Band As One’s debut has organizers already discussing making it an annual Nashville tradition in support of breast cancer research and patient services. (Source: WSMV, ABC Audio)
