Vancouver, BC - February 8, 2025 - The Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025, presented by ATCO and Boeing, will bring together over 500 competitors from 23 nations, including Team Germany & Team Canada, for an inspiring showcase of adaptive sports and resilience. Taking place from February 8 to February 16, 2025, these Games will mark the first time winter sports are included, alongside established events like wheelchair rugby and powerlifting.

The family-friendly spectacular Opening Ceremony will kick off the Games with an energizing showcase of recording artists and 500+ performers honoring the competitors’ inspiring journey of recovery through the power of sport.  Special performances by GRAMMY-Award Nominated, Multi-Platinum Artist Noah Kahan, Canadian icon Nelly Furtado, and Quebec sensation Roxane Bruneau, with more performances and special appearances to be announced!  The Opening Ceremony will begin shortly at BC Place, 1:00 PM PT, Saturday February 8, 2025.

Germany's SPORTDIGITAL has partnered with the Invictus Games Foundation as the official broadcaster of the Games in Germany. This partnership ensures that German audiences can follow their team’s journey, as athletes compete on the international stage to demonstrate the power of sport in recovery. Team Germany Captain Roman G. expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “I am so excited for the opening of the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025 and the opportunity for my friends and fellow comrades at home in Germany to watch the Games at Sportdigital EDGE. It is a great opportunity for them to follow the highlights of our performances overseas on our way to recovery!”

In Canada, Bell Media will broadcast the Opening Ceremony on both TSN, Canada’s Sports Leader, and CTV, Canada’s most-watched conventional television network. TSN will also provide a daily recap show covering all eleven sports, ensuring Canadians remain engaged with the Games and their competitors.

The Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025 will continue the legacy of previous editions held in Düsseldorf (2023), The Hague (2020), Sydney (2018), Toronto (2017), Orlando (2016), and London (2014).
